Southern Almeria (S Spain), 22/04/2012. It seems Cylindromyia intermedia, but not for sure. Can be confirmed with these pics?
Thanks

I always find
C.intermedia to be one of the hardest species to confirm - even with specimens. They also seem to be quite rare (as rare as
rufifrons) and I have only ever managed to confirm 1 individual. Whenever I think I have an
intermedia I usually actually have
auriceps.

I don't think so.
I don't see basal scutellar bristles and the antenna are not so long....
