Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Pollenia sp. ♂ [OK]

Hello,
I'm starting again with the identification of some diptera, by the wings veins, the thorax color and the abdomen seems to be Calliphoridae, Calliphora have the metallic abdomen (C. vomitoria, C. vicina), this have the tesselate abdomen, so maybe a Pollenia sp.? But I don't see much hairs on the thorax, btw I read there are Pollenia without evident hairs.
Near this one (male) was another Calliphoridae, maybe Pollenia sp. (female) with the classic hairs on the thorax ;) Later I'll post it too.
Some help please? :)

This is a male Pollenia sp. If you look on the sides of the thorax you can see some remaining golden hairs, but the dorsal hairs have almost all worn off.

Yes!!! Thanks for your response. Now I have to understand if there is no dorsal hairs because of the specie, because of the eta or ... I mean it because I found 3 Pollenia sp. male in different places and all them are without golden dorsal hairs, near the male I found females too but they had all the golden dorsal hairs, just a coincidence?

Probably coincidence. Maybe the males had emerged earlier than the females and were more worn.
