Hello! It's the specimen occasionally collected in last April in the near vicinity of Kharkiv city. Almost a year it remained among the unsorted material and finally boggled my mind. Although it seems to be Scathophagidae, I'm feeling hopeless to go further. So any help is much appreciated :)

11.IV.12. Ukraine, Kharkiv region
oak forest, on the leaf litter
size ca 5,25mm

Otites nebulosa Latreille. The fly I have never collected in Ukraine by myself. One of the ealiest ulidiids in Europe.

I would not mind, at least this is a new locality. There is just a 90 years old specimen from Kiev. My PhD student Vitya Baranov visits Kiev at least twice a month.
