A fly I couldn't even put a family name on. Is there anybody who can help me with it?

Suriname, Sipaliwini, Arapahu, II-2011, in primary forest

Thanks in advance,

Scarabaeoid

Looks like a Muscini with marked wings, e.g. Parapyrellia maculipennis or several regional species of Morellia.

The key to Brazilian synanthropic Muscoidea may help, though your forest fly may not be mentioned http://www.scielo...1v46n2.pdf (in Portuguese)

Thank you for your reply! Eu não falo portugues, so I'll skip the key. I'll see if some other time I can Google some pictures now that I have the probable name of the subfamily. For now, I will name it as Muscidae, ?Muscini if there are no objections.
