Could someone ease my torment and confirm this IS indeed,really, Voria ruralis ?
If it is, it's the first time I would have managed the ID of a black unconspicuous tachinid all by myself :)

Yes, I think that looks correct - steeply sloping m-cu and no median discals :) You can also see the strongly down-curved parafacial bristle that is present in species in this group :)
