This fly was close to 2 mm. Is it Elachiptera or other genus?
Is it possible to tell which species?
Photos from 15 september 2012 Nattsjön 62, E 17 Ångermanland, Sweden.
Thanks for your help in advance

Seems right, that's
Elachiptera and maybe
striatifrons, but for sure do you have any clear photo from its head? :)

Thans for looking at my flies Sara. I have no more pictures of this animal.
It seems that we do not have striatifrons in Sweden.
We have brevipennis, cornuta, diastema, megaspis, scrobiculata and tuberculifera.

The head is not clear to me, would you please tell me that vertical triangle is reached to anterior marginal of frons or not? (If not, it could be
cornuta). Thank you.
