Hi

But not Phaonia mystica...
This female Phaonia was caught 5. ix 2012 in a small forest near Copenhagen. The forest is mainly deciduous and rather dry. The fly came to rest on a rotting tree trunk. Size average Phaonia i.e. ~ 8 mm.
I have run it through both Gregor et al. and Hennig (in Lindner). In the first I end up with the pair liliputa/mystica and in the second with only mystica, but my fly has no posterior setae on t1 which mystica should have. The chaetotaxi of t2 og t3 matches though, but then there is the matter of the colour of the legs.
Any ideas about where to put this fly would be much appreciated. I have made four pics showing the basics I hope.

Regards,
