I know it is a Opomyza, but germinationis or petrei?
I found several treads in here about the same question, but I never got, how to see the difference.
What IS the diffence?

Hello Linda,
Well, in O. germinationis the abdomen is normally rather dark with yellow patches at the sides of each tergite; in O. petrei the abdomen is yellow with dark central and lateral stripes. However O. germinationis may be more yellowish and O. petrei may be more dark. So not always that easy. Besides that the genitalia are different and in O. petrei, the proepisternum has several setulae in the middle, which are missing in O. germinations. None of those are visible in your picture so it is either O. germinationis or O. petrei.
