Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Fly on Corallorrhiza trifida

Photo: CH, Engadin, Madulain, 1800 msm, 17.6.2012. This fly flow always to the flower of Corallorhiza trifida, an orchis. Is it possible to ID this fly?

Long beak and R4+5 simple suggest Rhamphomyia.

Yes. With a better image oif the genitalia it might be ID-able...
