Hello
Aywaille ( Belgium ) 19/5/2012, along a forestial path. A impressive fly.
First I thought it was an Asilidae, but I looked in the galery, I looked with a key, .... and I found nothing.
I think I'm wrong with the family, but what else ?
Thank you for the help
Éric

Ok ! Thank you, Paul.
I'd never met this species before.
Is it common ?

It is little collected. Whether that is because it is rare or because we look for it at the wrong places I do not know but it may well be a truely scarce species.
