Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinid for ID, C Spain

I think it is Tachinidae but looks a bit odd, so I am not sure :(

Taken in mixed woodland by a river in the outskirts of Madrid on the 2nd May 2012. Thanks for any help! |t

Definitely a tachinid - maybe Macquartia sp. but I'd need a specimen to be sure :)

Unfortunately, only pictures :S :D Let's hope somebody can at least confirm it is Macquartia. I would be more than happy with that :)

I can see this suggestion, but the head is much too naked.
