I have just keyed out a male fly from N Scotland as Spilogona litorea Fallen using Fonseca. He also has S. longipes Ringdahl.

Looking at the current UK synonymy, I conclude that Fonseca's S. litorea should now be called S. falleni Pont, and that his longipes should now be called litorea.

Am I correct in this? If not, any advice would be welcome.
