Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Chironomidae?

Hi

This fly has keyed out as a Chironomid as it has tibial spurs and no occelli as far as I can tell. Is anyone able to confirm this based on the pic below? i think it looks more like a sciarid but has not keyed out as such.

Female Chironomidae. If that detached leg is a front leg, Orthocladiinae.

Sciaridae and most Sciaroidea have M forked.
