Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Periscepsia?, NE Spain --> Nyctia halterata

Taken by Jose Manuel Sesma in Llobregat Delta (Barcelona) on the 22nd April 2012. Can it be Periscepsia? Any other or the related genera? Thanks for any help :)

I think it is a female Nyctia halterata.

Thanks so much to you both!! :)

The shape of her head was misleading me :S I ruled out a female Nyctia halterata from the beginning in spite that the whole body was screaming it. Pathetic :S :S :S
