Zambia Tabanidae
Haematopota sp. B
Date 25.i.11. Size 7mm
Miombo Woodland. Location: at window
(This may be conspecific with my sp. A but here the wing-rosettes are more sharply defined)
This belongs to the
denshamii group characterised by unbroken stripes on the thorax, but I'm not sure of the species.
H. pertinens is recorded as common but there should then be pale spots on the abdomen?
Only this individual taken.
