Hello,

www.galerie-insecte.org/galerie/image/dos83/big/p1090537w.jpg
Phil : France : Saint-sever : 40500 : 07/04/2012
Altitude : 100 - Taille : 5mm environ
Réf. : 83459

Several members of our French forum thinks it could be Tachypeza. And some of them even dare to say T. nubila. What do you think of it ?

TIA.

Tachypeza is correct can't tell if it's nubila or any other species

It is so difficult to say, without more details of the fly. I mean, do I see dc's or not? I think I cannot....so likely is is T.nubila, but I will always feel uncertain without looking to the animal from all sides and preferably under the microscope.
