Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Ant parasitoid ID (maybe Phoridae)

Hi everyone, i saw some flies flying over and perhaps laying eggs in Camponotus morosus ants here in Chile and i'm very curious to know what specie of fly is this.
The fly was parasiting the ants while they were fighting, was a very interesting observation and you can see more photos here if your are interested:

My recollection is Apocephalus is the common genus of ant-decapitating flies but there are species of other genera with similar behavior.

Thanks!! i hope Bryan can reply, he mencion that Apocephalus genus is absent from Chile
