I think Lypha dubia. Am I right?

It was much more shiny brown than this one http://www.dipter...d_id=46297. :|
Perhaps a difference between male and female?

Yes, that looks correct - you just have to be careful not ot confuse it with Campylochaeta (lots of facial ridge bristles) or Phorocera (a bit longer body) at this time of year ... under a microscope I have no problems but with photos I always find it difficult if certain key features are obscured :)
