Small (3,5 mm.) and strange fly, especially the head and the long arista.

Taken in Gojar (Sierra Nevada northface foothills), March 7, 2012.

Limosininae, possible Leptocera or Rachipsoda. Did you collect specimens?

Excuse me Paul, I'm only an amateur lover of natural world, including Diptera. I've never collected any specimen. Unless I could find some dead, in which case I could pick it up and send it if I knew the method to use.

Is Limosininae a subfamily ?
