Hi
I don't get many of these... It's my first Chamaemyiidae ever and I have a pretty good idea what it is, but would like to have a second opinion by someone more knowledgeable.
The specimen got greasy incredibly fast, but the original colour was dull grey all over the body. No dark spots or other markings. The only head bristles are the verticals. The lunule is squarish with very fine light hairs.
The specimen (a male) was swept from dry grass on a meadow in mixed forest on 16. iii 2012 on the small island Amager just of the coast of Sjælland close to Copenhagen. Body length ~ 2.5 mm.
Let's see if our ideas match!
Greetings,
