Hello
may be a kind of reverse Empis? I photographed him in the region Stropkov Slovakia on 14.05.2011 at an altitude of 250 m. Length about 10 mm. Thank you for identification.

Quick and dirty I'd say E. nigricans as opaca should only have the sides of the tergites greyish.
