Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae ID => Macquartia grisea

I think this is a Macquartia grisea, male. Am I correct? If so then it is my first Tachinid of the year. Initially I dismissed it as just another Muscid but on a second look I noticed the long hairs on the abdomen.

Hard to say from 1 photo but I think it might be too early for any Macquartia spp. Do you have more photos?

Unfortunately my only other photo was from the same angle and rather blurred.

I based my identification/guess on similarity with a photo by Tim Worfolk here:

I'll go up and see if I can get any more photos later this week.
