Hello!
Sorry for the bad picture quality. I guess, this 5 mm fly from our garden today (northwest Germany) is a male Anthomyiid. Is it possible to tell more? (
Lasiomma sp.?)

If the eyes are hairy Lasiomma would be a good bet. If not, perhaps the Egle season has started? Not enough detail to tell. Try to get lateral as well as dorsal shots ;)

Egle was the other genus, which came into my mind :). Unfortunately this was the only picture, the fly allowed. I hope to get some better ones next week. In the moment it is rather late winterly here, but there is sun and 17 °C progosed from thursday on...
