Hi, I took this picture on June 26 in Hannover, Germany. Could someone, please, identify it?
Thanks, Hans

I suspect Tachinidae for a few reasons.
1. It looks weird.
2. Vein M is apparently forked, which is common in Oestroidea but I have never seen in Muscidae.
3. M ends nearer to R4+5 than in Muscidae, or it ends in R4+5.
4. It has long hairs on the rear end.

Thank you, John! I think you are right.
Perhaps someone else can identify it?

This is clearly a Miltogramminae fly in the Sarcophagidae family. I suspect this is Metopia sp. Others to confirm.
