Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscina angustifrons, Muscidae

Hi,

this Muscina has clearly yellowish tibiae, black basicosta and black femora. I could not find what colour palpi should be but this one has yellow palpi. Could it be angustifrons or am I wrong with the genus and it's not Muscina at all .. 16.-17.7.2010 Loviisa, Finland and with beer trap.

Looks correct following the keys, but I've never seen this species myself..

Looked for you in Hennig, i indeed think there is no other option as M. angustifrons.
Palpi should be yellow at end.
An East Asian species (according to Hennig an Asian subspecies of M. levida, but probable in time more worldly spread
