This doesn't look convincing to me, as Dolichopodidae (not that that says much), but then I read that the single crossvein makes Dolichopodidae most likely...
That said, I did read that in Chinery's field guide. And I'm not convinced that his descriptions of fly families are hugely reliable.
So I attach (in reply) an image of the wing from underneath as well as the fly itself.
Bosham, on nettle?, in ex hedgerow between farmland and saltmarsh.
