On fern, very rare in the South of Spain, mostly limited to shaded margins of rivers and streams.
Around 15 mm.
Aguas Blancas river (Granada, S Spain). May 28, 2011.

This is Therevidae, it can sometimes be confused with Tabanidae.
Its probably Thereva sp.
