Empis tessellata(female) is correct? Region Malá Fatra Terchová about 700 m above sea level. Thank you very much for your help. I made a photo of 08.06.2011.

Not E. tessellata, but, since I have no literature at all, here I can't say now what it is. Maybe Paul may say. I will have to check later.

Probably Empis grisea.

you think so? Why Paul? I thought E. grisea has a different dorsum and legs. I ahve not the possibility now to check....a pity

Empis grisea:
Mesonotum: unifromly duleld by greyish dust, darker mesonotal stripes along the lines of bristles very inconspicuous, completly disappearing in anterior view. Check.
Feemale legs: Posterior four femora anterodorsally with numerous irregular flattened hairs, posteroventrally distinctly pennate towards tip. Check.
