Another Stratiomyidae from San Ignacio, Cayo District, Belize, collected between Jan 1 to 4 2009
8.5 mm
Can an ID beyond family be made?

Could this be
Hermetia sp. or something close to that? Or maybe Pachygastrinae?

Sorry that I cannot be more positive, but it is certainly not a Pachygasterinae, at least it does absolutely not look like the Pachygasterinae, which I know, although I see 3 M veins. The antennae, though, are completely different.
Looking at the scutellum I can just say it is not a Hermetia. Given the wings I tend to think it is belonging to Stratiomyinae.
I hope somebody else will be able to tell what it is.

I think Pachygasterinae never have spines on the scutellum.
