The saga of my ignorance continues with this individual, which by position and size (4mm, tops) I wanted to call a jackal fly.

Lusaka City, on a dead Afreumenes (probably) wasp on an ornamental pond.

Reminds me of some Ephydridae (eg http://www.dipter...to_id=3883 ) but I am no expert.
