Can anyone help me with the identification of this fly? I found it at Mt.Kelimutu at c.1150m asl on June 21st, 2011. Many thanks in advance.

I'd have a crack at it if you showed us the photo :D

Just edit your post and try to upload again - remembering the upload rules - no spaces or unnecessary punctuation in file names and <190KB in file size ... and remember that Preview strips out the photo so don't use it ;)

Hmmm, looks more like a member of the family Athericidae. It could be a Suragina sp. or Atrichops sp.
