I just found thousands of these in a damp banana farm by a small stream. They look like Clogmia albipunctata to me, although I have also seen this cited as Telmatoscopus. These are from St. Martin, Lesser Antilles. I am posting a couple photos, the last one looks quite different, but maybe is just missing hair.

Last photo, different but maybe just old/damaged.

The two first ones look like Clogmia albipunctata, the only species of Clogmia with a wide distribution. Some authors still place it in Telmatoscopus, but this should be avoided as the genus is currently not very well defined.
The third one looks different, but I won't attempt to put a name on it at present.

Thanks, Gunnar! I guess I should have looked more carefully to see if there were more like the third one.
