Hello, I found this fly dead in the water of a pound in the north of Morocco, in the rif, about 1700 meters above the sea, in a forest of Cedrus atlantica and Abies maroccana.

Does anyone know the family, subfamily, tribe, genus or specie?

Thanks.

Other photo of the same exemplar. If more photos are needed I can make.

Guessing at Anthomyiidae (female), the anepimeral (I think) seta made me think of Emmesomyia. Are the tibiae yellow? A dorsal view of the thorax might help too.

Thanks a lot Stephen. The tibiae was blak or dark grey. This is a photo of the same individue. It is posible confirm the genus?

Thanks.

No, it was a wild guess and almost certainly wrong - sorry! You have not yet told us the size of the fly.
