Hello,

here is again a fly from coastland in south east Sicily from last april, for which I don't really have an idea for the family. I wrote down an estimated lenght of 8-9mm, but given the picture this seems to be far too big.

Does nevertheless someone have a suggestion for family or genus?

Thanks,
Michael

An Otites sp. near anthomyiina Hendel, probably an undescribed species. It belongs to a "genital" group of cryptic species, which Elena Kameneva is revising now.

Hello Valery,

thank you for the answer. Sometimes I regret that I don't collect.
