Fantastic, but I prefer the legs of
Campsicnemus magius, which make the cover illustration of "A dipterist's handbook, 2nd edition".

1. The data for new record of D. sagittarius is in:
http://www.diptera.info/photogallery.php?photo_id=7954
2. Stephane, I collected 2 males of C. magius in Morocco. My test, this Dolichopus is even more unusual.

Dolichopus pulchrimanus has better legs: the forked fore tarsi are contrasting black and white rather than plain yellow. It lacks the clubbed antenna, however.

As for me, I prefer elegant foretarsus like this African
Hercostomus

BTW, one of the most striking Doli wing was recently discovered and published by Capellari from Brazil (this is a part of original picture)
