This one keeps keying out on Spanochaeta dorsalis (from Belgium, 30-06-2002) due to reclinate frontal seta with anterior considerably larger than posterior. Other characteristics match too: 1 pair of scutellars, short frontal triangle, nearly uniserial acrostichals.
BUT, has a clear posterodorsal seta in the middle of mid tibia and arista seems more than pubescent.
Any ideas on this one ?
Thanks, Joris

I believe females can have a pd seta on mid tibia.
I think this is S.dorsalis.

1. I think it is a male.
2. Nevertheless I think it is S.dorsalis: I have only very limited material of this species, but seems that leg's chaetotaxy may distinctly vary.

OK, thanks. Spanochaeta dorsalis it is, then - I couldn't see what else it could be, but was a bit worried about that pd. I have collected another one which is similar and has the same chaetotaxy. Joris
