Thanks in advance for any help in ID! :)

A newly emerged one, so difficult to ID, however, the yellow basicosta and genae suggests C. vicina.

Thanks so much for the explanation and ID, Stephane!

There is so much variation in Calliphora vicina that I always get confused with the pale ones.

Once they have lost the protruding shape of head, do they still keep that pale colour for some time? Because I see the classical C. vicina but all the pale ones end being C. vicina too.

Supossedly, there are only two Calliphora species in Spain (vicina and vomitoria). But it is surprising as there are a lot more not so far away from here. And with such variation, I am always afraid of doing a wrong ID and missing one of the others due to lack of information.

Best
