Another one from Madrid mountains in August. On brambles by pine woods.
It looks very similar to my other Pales, but darker. The hairy eyes and venation of the wings look correct. Confirmation, please!! Thanks in advance! ;)

Another view. Sorry for the quality. It was dark in the woodlands and it didn't wait for me to change settings in my camera ;)

A better view of venation, in spite of the quality :S

You think so ?? Looks totally different to me.
Wings are longer, pattern on thorax is different, no bluish on the abdomen, antanna shorter, abdomen more elongeated...
In any case, this is a female Nemorilla.
It looks like N. floralis, but maculosa is pretty similar.

Theo, in order to be realistic, what I think has no meaning at all!! :D :D Many Tachinids look all the same to me ;) Those hairy eyes and general appearance made me think they were similar.
I have had a look to
Nemorilla and certainly looks much closer to my unexperienced eye ;)
But in Spain only
maculosa can be found (at least, in theory). Do you think it might be
maculosa, being both species so similar?
Thanks again for the ID and your infinite patience! ;)
