This fly seems to key comfortably to Fonseca's Dexiopsis genus, and then pretty well to minutalis but it is a bit too big and the antennae are too short.
The hind anterio-dorsal is shown in picture 4 on the left of the leg in the middle section and is matched near the apex by the similarly sized one beyond the longer dorsal bristle. Is this similar one a pre-apical or a second ad? I have difficulty sometimes with where the preapicals begin; any advice? In picture 5 you can see that there is a small anterior pre-sutural dc about 30% of the the second one. In the same picture you can see there is only 1 reclinate upoper front-orbital.
Any solutions?
