Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae from 24.10.11 #2: Helina or Phaonia? --> Helina impuncta

Hello!

When the abdomen is not clearly visible, I am always unsure, whether I should place such a fly into genus Helina or if it's the infamous Phaonia tuguriorum again. :| Sorry, if this is trivial...

About 7 mm, on fence stake (northwest Germany).

What am I hearing about the Phaonia tuguriorum ?! :S
It is Helina (impucta) this time. ;)

Thank you, that's a relief... B) There were enough Phaonias around at that time.
