Thread subject: Diptera.info :: green-eyed Tabanid - Philipomyia aprica?

Hi,
This wonderful big Tachinid fed on Umbellifers in Austria, Tyrol, Niederthai-Bichl, 1.600 m. I saw it in August, 2010. Can it be Philipomyia aprica?

yep. a beauty. Very common in Pyrynees too.
