Hi,
This is a female Lauxaniid from Rudolstadt, Thuringia, seen in July. Can it be named Minettia cf. flaviventris? There is a rather similar one in the gallery.
Thanks for help, Sundew

This specimen does not seem to have a Presutural dorsocentral bristle so Minettia longiseta would be a better bet

Nice pictures

did you keep the specimen?

So this would be my third M. longiseta after http://www.dipter...d_id=19604 and http://www.dipter...d_id=21897 :S. Is the lacking presut dc the only decisive character? I find the abdomen of this fly much more striped and yellow; however, I'm not familiar with the allowed variability.
The specimen is hopefully well and not caught by a spider. I do not collect except digitally :).
