A beauty. Found at Gijon Botanical Gardens, N Spain on the 10th September 2011. Thanks in advance for any help to Id it.

Very nice fly - I agree it should be something exciting but I would need a specimen to ID it :)

I was fearing this might happen :( But no chance. The area is protected, there are guards everywhere and anyone with a net would be in serious trouble.
My only hope is someone here is able to recognize just by a picture ;) I would be happy to know just the genus. It was a cutie :)

Nemorilla....
New: H. P. Tschorsnig told me that this is a male of Nemorilla maculosa.
