I think this is Tachinidae. Is genera possible?

Definitely Tachinidae - looks like Dexiinae to me - probably close to Prosena ... I think it has a long proboscis but it is just hidden between the front legs :)

Thanks Chris. Helps me to know what to put aside for you. Are strong abdominal spines a good bet for Tachinidae?

> strong bristles on tergites (the abdominal spines you refer)
> presence of subscutellum (seen in lateral view under the scutellum - it has a bulge in almost every Tachinidae; there are some Calliphoridae as in Mesembrinellinae that has it as well... or one or a few exceptions in Tachinidae that has no subscutellum at all..)
> AND presence of bristles on the meron.

these 3 features are almost always found in Tachinidae. (M vein normally has a strong bent - but there are lots of exceptions - Ocytata, for example, among others. Some have petiole in M vein like it happens in Rhinophoridae - but these last have typically very small calypters..)
