Could someone help me identifying these Tephritid?
I think it's an Urophora, perhaps jaceana...
The photo (author: Antonio Robledo) was made near Murcia, Spain, on 9.4.2011.
Thanks

In fact, here I see that it is probably might be neither
jaceana nor
mauritanica (black strike on fore femur!). Can anyone give me an idea of what sort locality it is from? Frygana? Middle mountains? Meadow?

This is a mediterranean area, with coastal scrub. The specimen is on Euphorbia sp.
Thanks!

Oops ... I thought it would
jaceana to have 4 bands in the wing and the first and second almost no in contact. What species of Urophora have black strike on fore femur?

solstitialis, cuspidata, terebrans. However, the 2nd crossband is S-like like in mauritanica, which usually has yellow forelegs

The author of the photo, Antonio Robledo, says that this picture and this other one http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=41818 were made in the same plant and seems to be the same species, perhaps male and female...
Thanks

The case seems to be more complicated. In this case, the male is, indeed, mauritanica, too. And the forefemur coloration merely does not work in some Pyrenean Peninsula populations.
