I thought
Lonchaeidae were smaller than that, but I can be wrong.

This is a Muscidae,
Hydrotaea subgenus
Ophyra. Can I see the hind legs and the colour of calypters ?

Thanks,
They are always on the move, this is the best I could get:
The hoovering-behaviour is indeed mentioned by Peter Skidmore in The biology of the Muscidae of the world :
«Males of Ophyra are well known for their hovering habits »
I 'll try later to get better pictures,
Bart
