In the meantime, can anyone help me with this one, please? Medetera oscillans / jugalis
Based on Fonseca 1978 Royal Ent. Soc. key:
Outer section of postical is twice the length of the outer crossvein, = jugalis
Third antennal segment as wide as long = oscillans (rather than distinctly wider than long in jugalis)
Abdominal pubescence: almost whitish (jugalis) or yellowish (oscillans)?
Body length 3 mm. Fonseca says 2.25-2.75 for jugalis, 3.25-3.75 for oscillans.

Collected 23 May 2011 from trunk of a young Fraxinus, in a felled poplar plantation. Felled two years ago. Still much dead wood on wet ground and lush regrowth of poplar. Beside the Menai Strait, North Wales.

More pictures to follow, I hope.
