hmmm.
Could it perhaps be Allophorocera [Erycilla] ferruginea http://www.comman...ginea.html or are the photos simply not good enough for ID?

Allophorocera was one of the thoughts I had but I don't see them enough to be able to tell from photos :) But it is a fairly unusual for tachinids to be this dusted.

Ole is completely right !

You can see the humeral bristles in a triangle, opposited to similar looking genera like Ceromasia and Erycia.

It was Walther Gritsch who mentioned it might be Allophorocera [Erycilla] ferruginea.
