Here is another fly I collected in the north-east of Portugal - this time in a meadow - on the 29th of April of this year. It is approximately 5 mm in length.
I think it is a member of the Tephritidae family, and possibly a Tephritis sp.?

Can someone please confirm the genus and possibly indicate the species?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the ID...it would have taken me hours to figure out which species these were!
