Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Muscidae? Anthomyiidae? -> cf. Delia platura

Hello,

this ~5mm fly is from a garden from last april from near Heinsberg in western germany. The photo is probably not good enough for an identification. But can perhaps the family or the genus be recognized?

It's a male anthomyiid; you are right that we can't see enough to establish an ID, but one possibility is the ubiquitous Delia platura.
